Adaptive Prescribed-Time Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

For nonlinear control of uncertain systems, convergence speed has always been an important research topic. In recent years, the prescribed-time control approach has received extensive attention, whose convergence time does not depend on the system initial conditions as well as other control parameters, and can be preset by the designer. In this report, a new prescribed-time stability criterion is presented, which provides explicit theoretical supports and systematic guidelines for achieving the prescribed-time stability based on the adaptive control method. Then, through constructing appropriate Lyapunov functions and utilizing our proposed stability criterion, it is proved that all states of the uncertain system can be adjusted to the origin in a prescribed time interval. Finally, the simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed control algorithm.
