Partial substitute for a W2 professorship
The Institute of Mathematics at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) is seeking to fill a position as a partial substitute for a W2 professorship in Mathematics as soon as possible.
The W2 professorship is to be partially filled until March 31, 2027 as a teaching professorship in number theory.
Application deadline is February 20, 2026.

One term Giovanni Prodi Chair professorship
The Institute for Mathematics at the University of Würzburg offers a temporary Giovanni Prodi chair professorship for each of the periods
- Oct. 12, 2026 - Feb. 5, 2027,
- Apr. 12 - Jul. 16, 2027.
These professorships should enrich our academic life in Würzburg. Prodi professors are expected to interact both with faculty and students leading to international contacts.
