Overview of Seminars in the Winter Semester 2019/2020

Just in time for the scheduled date, April 01, 2019, the Institute of Mathematics started with new pages: the institute with its 19 research groups presented itself in a simple, clear and informative manner in research and teaching.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Würzburg participated as a team at the Würzburg Residence Run. Part of the team can all be with an affinity to mathematics or computer science.

The PhD student of the University of Würzburg Anna-Katharina Roos is committed to the research for the improvement of teaching. The Bavarian television interviews Mrs. Roos in the context of the annual meeting Didactics of Mathematics 2019 in Regensburg.

Nearly 200 students attended the 58th round for the state of Bavaria of the German Mathematical Olympiad at the University of Würzburg. The Olympiad was held from February 22 to 24, 2019.

The Minister of Science Prof. Dr. med. Marion Kiechle awarded the prize of best teaching to Dr. Florian Möller of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.
