Provisions on compensation for disadvantages
Studying is often more difficult for students with a disability or chronic illness. Regulations on the compensation of disadvantages are intended to ensure that these students have equivalent study and examination conditions.
The University of Würzburg has a central contact point in the form of the KIS - Contact and Information Centre for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses. In addition to information on compensating for disadvantages, the KIS also provides a wealth of information on support options for studying.
The KIS has an information brochure on compensating for disadvantages in examinations. You can also find information on compensating for the disadvantages of dyslexia and dyscalculia.
It is important that you always contact the relevant examination board to plan specific measures. If you are granted compensation for disadvantages in examinations, it is essential that you also inform the examiner in good time (at the latest by the end of the examination registration period).
Teaching staff can also obtain advice from the KIS on barrier-free teaching and on forms of compensating for disadvantages.
