Oberseminar Mathematische Strömungsmechanik

We consider degenerate parabolic equations in a bounded domain, with Neumann type boundary conditions. Using entropy solutions (in the sense of Kruzhkov, Carillio, Chen & Karlsen) we prove L 1 stability with respect to the initial data. We also prove existence either via vanishing viscosity approximations, or via the convergence of numerical schemes.
